Movie Bash Progress
As of now, my website has not gotten any attention yet and i am actually starting the Facebook page up now. I have gotten little attention for the page so far and am still just waiting to see if anything will improve as time goes on before i start to drastically change my ideas. I have done a total of at least seven reviews and i am improving them before i send them out to make them online worthy. From them i have only released three and i will continue them either on a weekly basis or whenever it is convenient in the week itself. Having not gotten any feedback from anyone on the reviews them-self yet, i don’t know whether they will strike a cord with anyone as of now and don’t even expect the reaction from them, so i’m waiting that out still. I am questioning over whether to branch out in how to get people to know about my page and website. Being on Facebook means eventually the post will fade away and placing the reviews on the feed itself will get repetitive and annoying for others eventually so i’m not really sure how to get others knowing consistently what is coming up. At this point i’m just doing what i want to do and i’m glad i am able to this consistently now and i can hopefully strengthen the view count as time goes on, learning that failure is part of growth was part of the course and was expected before we even started. I’ll just keep going with what I’ve been doing so far and see what happens.

Hi, so I have looked at your DA so far. The blogs are greatly articulated and structured with a great flow. You have really delved into the movies and given a detailed review and opinion on the film.
Of course, reviewing movies is a time-consuming task, however, I do believe posting at a consistent time will help with the success of your blog. In saying this, I believe having a separate website or platform to review on would help as well, as your reviews get hidden amongst uni blog post. The reviews are very long and quite time consuming to read. Learning from my own experience with my blog and some research I have conducted, the shorter the blog post the better. You want to engage people, so its best to get them interested straight away. I too have really struggled with views on my blog, blogging is a super hard space to get into and it takes a lot of time and perseverance to gain a healthy and consistent following.
I think creating the facebook page is an excellent idea. I’d suggest maybe scrapping the blog and purely posting reviews on facebook. Which are short and to the point and involve photos or another type of media to engage more people and reach a larger audience.
Johnny,
Do not give up or think you are failing because you do not have followers. It is ok and you may think its not going well but you have great work. I really enjoy your reviews, I like its your thoughts and how you feel about each movie you rate. I would post on your facebook and reach out that way. Also word of mouth is a good way to get people to follow you. Because you tell your friends, then they tell theirs and on and on. We all fail or make mistakes but that is all part of the learning process. It is ok to fail, you just learn and make it even better the next time. I think this could have a lot of potential if you keep posting reviews.
Seriously just reach out to your friends and tell people about this project and post on other social media platforms you have. Do not give up or think you are doing a bad job because you are not. I really like what you are doing!!
