Movie Bash Development
Since i started movie bash, i wasn’t sure how it would turn out in the long run. I general the idea of a film critic going on an online format like Facebook and sharing their opinions worldwide about movies seemed like a risky business considering how sensitive the internet can be a times. The results of the page have been at least average compared to what i expected. Only having released about five reviews so far, they have at least been seen by about a hundred people. Since i started publicly advertising my website, the views went up a bit more and that has led to more people that i don’t already know liking my page from other countries as well so that seems like an easier way to get views but i need to do it sparingly as it costs more money than i am willing to afford continuously. The only real thing that has not been a great success is that people have not left any comments on any of the reviews, defeating the purpose and going against the main reason i created the page in the first place. I figure that reason is because people don’t really like sharing their opinions on films publicly still. i don’t really know how to fix that problems as its not something that can be easily fix and it all depends on the person and not how i write my reviews. The things i could work on still is that i might want to shorten the length of the reviews. Each one is about a thousand words each and that isn’t something that can be quickly read. So to fix that, I’ve started writing little blurbs and quick sum-ups in the description for those that just want a quick summary of what i think, and they can continue to read the whole thing if they wish. This means that even if they don’t read the whole thing they can still leave a thought in the comment if they ever do because of the simple explanation. I also started giving numbered ratings in the description as well at the very top as a good visual identifier as to what i think overall. Aside from that, the page has done better than i expected and i hope to continue making it better in the future, but until then it is still a work in progress, but it is turning out better than expected.
